Memorial Eritrea Week 2023 commemorates a project focusing on recounting the stories of lives lost during the struggle for independence. It is a pivotal component of our efforts to counter any violations and serves as a tool to advocate for peace and respectful coexistence. This initiative stands as a poignant reminder of the lives lost, the destruction of livelihoods, and the dispersal of hundreds of thousands who became refugees worldwide. In the historic juncture we find ourselves in today, we can’t help but acknowledge that freedom is invaluable, and our independence came at an exorbitant cost.
